Yes, I’m procrastinating. But I’m doing it caffeinated!
It starts with a simple plan:
“I’ll just have a quick cup of coffee before I start.”
But then…
- I sip a little slower.
- I scroll a little longer.
- Suddenly I’m researching the history of teabags instead of doing the thing.
It’s not that I don’t care.
It’s that my brain takes “pause” and translates it into “detour.”
Executive dysfunction + caffeine = the most alert kind of avoidance.
But here’s the truth:
Even procrastination can be a soft landing.
A way to catch my breath before diving in.
And eventually… I do start.
Just not before the potion is gone.
