The internet is a dangerous place…for my plans!

You know that moment when you open your laptop with the purest intentions?
Just one search. Just one quick check.
The grown-up, organized part of your brain whispers, “You’ve got this. Two minutes, tops.”

And then…

…you blink, and you’re watching a high-definition deep dive into the migratory patterns of squid.
The tabs on your browser look like a chaotic quilt — some vaguely related, most completely unhinged. You couldn’t retrace your steps if your life depended on it.

That’s the thing about a neurodivergent brain … curiosity doesn’t just knock on the door, it bulldozes it, brings snacks, and moves in for the weekend.
One question leads to another, and another, until you’ve built a web of knowledge no one asked for but you could now win a niche game show on.

And honestly? It’s not all bad.
Hyperfocus is magic, the kind that builds inventions, solves problems, creates art, and, yes… memorizes the entire life cycle of the Humboldt squid.
It’s just tricky when you were supposed to leave for an appointment 45 minutes ago.

So, to my fellow wandering minds: your curiosity is not a flaw.
Just maybe set a timer before you “check one thing.”
(And if you ever need to know about squid migration, I’m your girl.)
