You’re Not Lazy. You’re Tired. And You’re Trying.
If you’ve ever looked around your home – at the laundry, the dishes, the undone list – and thought:
“What is wrong with me?”
You’re not alone.
Maybe you’re a parent trying to hold it all together.
Maybe you’ve started wondering if your child is wired a little differently – and in the process, realized you might be, too.
You’re not lazy. You’re not failing.
You might just be neurodivergent in a world that doesn’t make space for that.
Here are a few things we wish someone had said earlier:
🌀 You’re not unmotivated. You’re overwhelmed.
🌀 You don’t lack discipline. You’re burned out and unsupported.
🌀 You’re not bad at parenting. You’re parenting with a nervous system that’s already at capacity.
🌀 You don’t need to be “fixed.” You need tools, time, and understanding.
If the routines never stick…
If your child melts down over textures or transitions…
If executive function is something you’ve had to fake your way through your whole life…
That’s not a character flaw.
It’s a different brain. And it deserves support, not shame.
You are not lazy.
You are tired.
And you are trying – in ways most people will never fully see.
If this resonates, you’re not alone. Drop a ❤️ or just say “me” in the comments. No explanations needed.
